When we discussed the setlist issue with Jay here on thebrpage a couple of weeks ago, I predicted kinda lowest common denominator results in case the fans can vote 'their' setlists. Looks as if I wasn't totally off. This is still a very commendable effort by BR and maybe we'll get to hear some hidden gems sooner or later regardless. As I stated earlier, the Stuttgart 2000 show was one of BR's more interesting concerts, featuring the best New America songs and rarities like Against The Grain. We'll see what happens...

Hence my suggestion that people from this site would pick one show and one rare song to vote.

The later shows look more interesting, Bored And Extremely Dangerous is on quite a few of them.
I think that's because casual listeners don't vote months in advance.

It would be awesome if they could play all of those songs. Probably couldn't though, cuz that's...just a lot of songs. Ridiculously many.

I wonder if they'll do this for shows other than the Warped Tour, because then I'd actually be able to use this.

I'd kill to see that live, Lucifer! Definitely my favorite song off the album. It would be interesting to see how they would pull off that chorus in a live setting.

I was excited... until I saw the top picks for Atlanta. Man, they suck. That's virtually the same setlist as always.
And the worst offense is that they've left out Don't Pray On Me on the songs list. The hell?

I say everyone here vote for Billy. Just to try and get enough votes for a rare song to see if they'll actually play it. And yea, where the hell is Don't Pray On Me??

It's a great idea, but judging from the results so far, people aren't taking the chance too much. Always the same stuff.. The only way to deal with that, is organize and choose together a rare song that every die hard fan wants to hear. Otherwise, for example, if i voted for Billy and Better Off Dead and someone else voted for Against The Grain and News From The Front, it would be a shame, since I 'd like to hear all of them. What I mean is that there are so many great songs to choose from, and a lot of votes could be wasted. That shouldn't happen if some people get a deal on voting certain rare songs. It's no big deal, but I really think it's a shame to see them play more or less the same songs, just because new listeners want to hear them. What do you think?
07/16/2007 at 13:07

Well fuck me. If they actually play the songs that get most picks then it's the best idea in a long time. However, if the same as with the Palladium shows happen then I don't see much point in it..
